The Georgian.com: As the telephone conversation begins, barking can be heard in the background.
Clearly the dog wants its owner’s attention.
No big deal, except the owner is one of rock’s most enduring singer-songwriters and she’s doing a long-distance interview about her band’s upcoming tour.
“Excuse me, can I let my dog out? Hang on, please.”
The telephone receiver is laid down and the sound of a door opening can just barely be heard. A few seconds later, the receiver is picked back up.
“Sorry about that.”
