Seeing Ann & Nancy on stage in 2019 and 2024, there is a big difference. However, this difference is often only noticed and talked about by longtime die-hard fans. Fans that also went to the shows when they played small venues or festivals in the years leading up to the disastrous evening in 2016. On the 2019 tour the glaring lack of interaction by the sisters was disappointing and a large portion of these die-hard fans focused their sadness on Ann’s husband. The footage from the 2024 tour however clearly shows that at least Ann & Nancy themselves have found each other again. That difference is such good news.
Ann & Nancy have recently shared their stories on how things have been since 2016 – and how they keep everything out of their eye of the storm in 2024 – in new articles in two high profile publications: Rolling Stone and The Washington Post. Highlights of these articles have been added to the HIATUS page.
These articles won’t change the perspective of many die-hard fans, but might change the perspective of a couple of fans that chose to ignore information (almost in a religious way) in an effort to keep focus on the musical solo adventures and talents of the sisters and the great heritage of Heart. More importantly though: if Ann & Nancy can move on and show us love and loyalty, it might be time for the fans to move on as well.
