More unconfirmed “Fanatic” song titles!?

Ann & Nancy

The publicly accessible ASCAP database -that lists the composers of songs- has added a couple of titles to their database. The following songs are new in that database and credited to Ann Wilson, Nancy Wilson and Ben Mink. 4 of these have already been mentioned in the January edition of Classic Rock Magazine, which makes this list very credible, but as yet still unconfirmed for “Fanatic”. The only confirmed title in this list is “Mashallah” (yes, with the “h”, but Heart uses it without the “h” on their set lists and on their Facebook… the mystery continues ;).

59 Crunch, A Million Miles, Beautiful Broken, Corduroy Road, Dear Old America, Fanatic, Mashallah, Pennsylvania, Rock Deep (Vancouver), Skin And Bones, Walking Good and Zingara.

The same database makes me guess that “Nothing but love” will be on “Strange Euphoria”, as it was registered at ASCAP after the songs for Red Velvet Car and before the above mentioned songs (judging by the numbers these songs have). “Nothing but love” was performed on Ann & Nancy’s acoustic tour in 1999 and was written by Ann Wilson and Burt Bacharach. And maybe something on “Strange Euphoria” from Almost Famous? (wild guess on the same grounds).

Thanx to Harry for the find!

  1. Just based on the song titles and the Live song Marshalla. I am really expecting a great CD. In fact I was actually surprised that they went that heavy. It seems like there is more Classic Heart in Ann and Nancy than just being with Roger and CO. Marshalla was very Zeppelin of them in their own way. That song seems to pick up where Devils Delight/Bad Animals left off.

On another note. I feel like the record company has been supressing this type of Heart for the more corporate feel.

  2. honestly they are such great musicians i am confident that any thing they produce is going to be absolutly wonderful they are so versitile and seem to be comfortable playing at any thing whether it be softly done or hard rock ,or middle of the road, there dynamically made for anything they write .anyway i love any and everything they do and live and die by it . trip smith everyone have a great weekend , trip
