Whn was this song ecorded and Why. I am not familiar with this japanese singer who originally recorded it..
I have no idea. When I found it on Youtube and listened to it I knew I heard Ann sing this before. So I’m puzzled as well.
Is this something that was on the Japenese release of Hope and Glory? I notice the same person posted another song by Ann that was on the Japanese release of her solo album.
No I have that Jap release. It ain’t on that one.
Hey guys, this song was written/co-written by a Canadian singer/songwriter named Amy Sky, for Ann Wilson’s solo album (which was initally intended in the late 1990s I think).
Amy Sky has written/co-written with Ann and Nancy on previous Heart songs such as “Voodoo Doll” and “(Upon) Cherry Blossom Road”.
http://www.amysky.com/song-writing.cfm – There’s a list of songs Amy has written for countless artists here, Ann Wilson and Heart are mentioned here too!
Mariya Takeuchi is a famous Japanese singer who has released 11 albums and I think that as Heart were quite popular in Japan in the 70s and 80s, they may have toured with Mariya in Japan as a support act or something as Mariya Takeuchi’s career began in 1978, as we have heard how Ann and Nancy love world music which is why they were inspired to write cool music for Voodoo Doll.
Red velvet car has been washed and detailed. Did someone say something about rain?
