From timestranscript.com:  The Hill is great, but a relatively quiet move by the City of Moncton to go wireless at many of its venues a couple of years ago has proven an unforeseen boon to its ambitions as Atlantic Canada’s entertainment capital.

Rock-geeks at Wednesday’s Heart show at the Coliseum enjoyed ‘Heartnet,’ the band’s own devoted wireless Internet connection.

A source we’ll call Heart Felt says touring bands now-a-days want their own dedicated wireless service at any venue they play and iPhone-toting show-goers among the turnout of about 4,000 at Wednesday’s show quickly discovered ‘Heartnet.’

Touring bands plug into a venue’s Internet connection with a router and create their own secure Wi-Fi connection that all bandmates and crew can connect to.

“Internet is the thing touring people look for first,” says Heart Felt. “It’s as important as having a place to shower.”

The Wilson Sisters and company set ‘hearts’ aflutter btw, with new material from their latest album Red Velvet Car along with hits like Barracuda, Magic Man, Crazy On You and a cool cover of Led Zeppelin’s What Is And What Never Should Be.
