Heart on Dolly Parton Rock Album?

Ann Wilson & Howard Leese confirm they have contributed.

When Dolly was inducted into the RRHOF, she announced to have plans for a Rock album and mentioned a bunch of artists that she had in mind. Billboard: I’m not expecting that I’ll get in. But if I do, I’ll immediately, next year, have to put out a great rock and roll album — which I’ve wanted to do for years, like a Linda Ronstadt or Heart kind of thing. So this may have been just a God-wink for me to go ahead and do that. It’s just nice to be nominated. Pollstar: Dream duet partners? Anybody you haven’t sung with yet? Dolly: There’s a couple people that I love, and I’m going to be asking them maybe to sing with me on my rock album. Ed Sheeran: I’ve always thought our voices would blend so beautifully together. And I have a particular song I’m going to ask him to sing with me. And, of course, I’ll ask Miley (Cyrus, her goddaughter). I love the Wilson sisters [of Heart]! There’s a lot of people I hadn’t thought that much about until I started putting together this rock album. I’m going to be thinking seriously about that now.

At the Grammy’s, Ann had her award accepted by the new owner of Ann’s catalog of music rights. Merck confirmed on her behalf that Ann is featured.

That news was picked by “Great Old Music” on Facebook where Howard Leese responded:

Earlier in 2022 Nancy expressed interest in a collaboration with Dolly, but she has yet to confirm her possible involvement.

  1. With Nancy expressing interest and Dolly mentioning both sisters earlier, I think Nancy will be on it unless something gets in the way. Hopefully on the same track as Ann and Howard! I imagine this album will have a lot of tracks lol

  2. Sad that Ann didn’t ask Nancy to accept on her behalf. Love these girls and wish they would truly patch things up.
