CATCH HEART ON TOUR STARTING OCT. 17TH

USA Today | “Two nights, two great TV music moments. Who knows what they’ve got up their sleeves for the next three days?”

Rolling Stone | “Grohl stood mostly in the background this time around, letting the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame sisters do their thing. “Good God, we should do this every night,” Letterman shouted following the performance. “Every night it’s a party.”

Music Times | So, what did you think of the performance? It’s pretty safe to say Letterman dug it, considering his ever so enthusiastic tone towards the song’s ending, saying, “I don’t know! I don’t know! I don’t know! Oh god, we should do this every night!” It’s a rarity, seeing Letterman excited, but Dave Grohl and his crew certainly managed to do so!

Huffington Post | “Clearly impressed, Letterman yelled out after the song’s conclusion: “I don’t know! I don’t know, I don’t know! My God, we should do this every night!”

CBS | “Dave Grohl and the guys took a step back for this performance, letting the two women do their thing while they played back-up.”

Ultimate Classic Rock | “but for their second night, they stayed much closer to home, teaming up with Heart for a rendition of the Seattle legends’ ‘Kick It Out.’

Entertainment.ie | “The newly assembled (and very temporary) supergroup performed Heart’s 1977 hit ‘Kick It Out’, during which the Wilson’s took front and centre leaving the Foos very much in the background for the performance. “

Heart – Let Me Roll It – Live – Paul McCartney Cover – Montreal June 14th 2014
Thanx to mojoeric for the upload!

And here’s the 2014 version of Heart ft. Jason Bonham:

Montreal Gazette: “After an intermission, they returned for an eight-song, 50-minute set made up exclusively of Led Zeppelin songs” “Robert Plant would have raised an eyebrow. The singer, in fact, could only have concluded that the legacy of his Zep work couldn’t be in better hands than Wilson’s.” “The highlights of the opening set were, perhaps, the unexpected ones: the obscure, but fascinating, labyrinthine epic Heaven [from “Alive in Seattle! TDHS], with its fascinating shifts from trad-folk drone to prog-rock drama, and an excitedly-received and remarkably faithful version of Paul McCartney’s Let Me Roll It.”

Set list:

1. Barracuda

2. Heartless

3. What About Love

4. Bebe Le Strange

5. Kick It Out

6. Even It Up

7. Straight On

8. Let Me Roll It

9. Heaven

10. These Dreams

11. Alone

12. Mashallah

13. Dear Old America

14. Crazy On You

Heart playing "Heaven"

Heart playing “Heaven”

“The Wilsons and their crack band played a standard 75-minute opening set that included their best-loved songs (with the notable exception of Magic Man), and which also included guitarist Nancy Wilson singing lead on a terrific cover of Paul McCartney’s Let Me Roll It. “I learnt the song today,” Nancy said from the stage.

The first standing ovation was for the band’s 1987 massive Number 1 hit Alone. Other highlights – despite the Bell Centre’s typically bad acoustics – were the epic Heaven (never released on a studio album) and the set-closer, Crazy on You, with 60-year-old Nancy Wilson working her trademark cross-legged jump and kick moves like a rocker half her age.” More from this review
