Nancy: 80 shows starting this Fall!

Bob and Nancy

Nancy was a guest on the TuneIn podcast with Bob Lefsetz very recently and after diving into Heart’s past and Heart’s current situation (which has been written out here), she talks about the plans for Roadcase Royale:

Bob: You’re going out on tour opening for Seger?

Nancy: Yeah, we started the tour opening for Seger a few months ago and we had to postpone it. […] So it’s not cancelled. We’re going back out in the Fall after Labor Day. Probably at least 80 dates [..] We don’t have the dates yet. The commitment is for everything they can get us and it’s all arenas.

  1. Since the cancelled concert tour, has Roadcase Royale been writing any new music? Or is everything on hold, until the re-scheduled tour ramps up? I’m hoping for new music. The first album’s songs are OK, but not what I was anticipating. But I am curious about: Who is being ripped-on in the songs Insaniac, and Mind Your Business?

  2. I’m excited for their shows. Roadcase’s new music is quite good, and I’d even say it’s better than Heart’s last couple of albums have been. Hold on To My Hand is killer (I know it’s a cover, but it’s performed really well) and Liv is quite a vocalist. Looking forward to the fall!

  3. If you like cover songs, no band can go wrong performing an extended version of the Theme to Peter Gunn. It is the very first Heavy Metal song.

I have been curious about the future direction of Nancy’s songwriting, untethered from Ann’s input. The 1st results? Intimate hostility toward (who?). –That was a bit unexpected. Is Nancy just expressing rage at the wind?
