Rolling Stone: Ann & Nancy speak about Heart’s future

Ann & Nancy have opened up about recent events leading to their effective separation and Heart’s current hiatus in a long article on RollingStone.com.

As many of you have been able to read about or experience yourself, Ann & Nancy have been busy with side-projects since the beginning of this year. While both sisters have been stressing that Heart is not over, this new article confirms what many Heartmongers have been reading through the lines, knowing very well about the reported incident in August 2016, involving the arrest of Ann’s husband, Dean Stuart Wetter:

Heart is on hiatus, until -and only if- Ann & Nancy can work past some very serious issues.

Read here what Ann & Nancy have been saying about this until now.

The Rolling Stone article sheds new light on what happened and how Ann & Nancy have responded. It is safe to say that things are much more dire than many of us thought.

The Heartlinker hopes first of all that the sisters can restore their bond and be a tight family again. And second, we hope to see a complete Heart back in business one day. In the meantime, read about Ann & Nancy’s solo adventures right here.

Added April 10th 2017Stereogum comments on the article:  They’ve both opened up (separately) to Rolling Stone for a new feature, using the publication as a sort of intermediary to air each side of the situation. […] Though they both may believe that everything will work out in the end, for now the Rock And Roll Hall Of Famers seem to be at a standstill. They describe their relationship as “pretty strained,” and it’s unclear when or if they’ll get back together again.

  2. Having read the Rolling Stone article, I’m going to touch this one, too.

Those of you in the “Nancy” camp, please go see Nancy’s act. It sounds like she can use all the support she can get. Liz Warfield sounds amazing! In the end – I’m not a Mom. My opinion is, they’re toxic for each other right now. There is good music being made on both sides. Let them stay on hiatus. Especially, Nancy’s camp is toxic to Ann. Let Ann continue her new beginning away from the toxicity.
