  1. The album cover is very folky, I love it! It also looks like a Nancy original!
I like the fact that the huge white heart symbol in the background, is a nod to the one found inside the sleeve of Heart: Greatest Hits/These Dreams.

  2. I disagree with Craig. It’s part of the job description.
    Gotta have this cover.

  3. I like it whenever there is personal art from them.

Got a listen to the revised tracks. I had high hopes for Language of Love, but I guess being a teenager of the 80’s, the 1983 version will always be my favourite. Regardless, I am glad they did these over if they felt they needed it. They never stop amazing me!

  4. I do not understand this going backwards to old songs in a “new” album. Does Heart feel the need to say, again, what was said before? Why? -OK, I’ll be agreeable and make the trip back to old ways and songs. Looking at old lyrics, I made a discovery. All of Heart’s lyrics are one big love letter. Below is my version of that letter:

    A Love Letter

    Hey You:

Call it bad timing, but I call it destiny. It wouldn’t have happened, if it wasn’t meant to be.
I got the story when I was a child. It took me over and turned me wild, only to make it true. It seemed we’d seen each other in a dream. Ain’t it strange how love put things together? One like you, someone like me. You are as real as I feel. Before us now, the dream of love is playing. You made a crazy dreamer out of me.
Someone is calling clearly to you now. I’d like to know when you will say hello. There will be a night when you won’t want to hide.We could share the mystery. We could take love all the way. Perfect lover where are you? I can’t wait much more for you to come true. My heart keeps playing it through with you, my friend. I’ll take my chances on you again and again. I will answer when you call, and take on the odds for what we believe is true. I only need your voice to tell me you care. I’ll be anywhere for you.
I been trying a long long time, to write a love letter, perfect lines. What I want to say is hard to find. I wanna tell it to you, just right. The way to say it seems to hide.
We search our hearts to justify the reason and draw the line to meet somewhere halfway. We may still have time darlin’, now I’m reaching out. Is it too late to make you see? You and me always be. Let’s never try to solve the equation of you plus me. (-This I didn’t plan now, I understand we’re one.)
Talk to me, tell me now, tell me what you wanna do. Standing here helpless, where do I go? Don’t leave me like this, don’t leave me stranded. I’ll be anywhere for you. I know my offer might be long overdue. I don’t want to have to wait anymore. Please don’t hesitate, I’m waiting for you. You can’t have nothing more important to do, I’ll be waiting till you answer me. I call, I call your name.

(You know who I am, but my name escapes you.)

  5. …love outside the law…
    Heart acknowledging their staff.
    Always love,
    Pete
P.S. you got that did ya?

  6. There’s a sign on the wall, but you want to be sure,
‘Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings.

  7. “I” did leave a note.Actually,”I” planted it.
So certain AW gazes in the mirror while addressing the song “Perfect Stranger”

  8. So, who is the “Perfect Stranger”? (There’s a guy out there, seem like he’s everywhere)(But when he could not meet her eyes) (Raining, raining, he knows your soul’s ain’t free, raining, raining, he feels you little Queen)

  9. Heart says, “its all about the music,” but “its” more than that.
The song, “Perfect Stranger”, is more than the music. The song, “Nada One”, is more than the music, when it says, “you are the moon in my sun.”
The Perfect Stranger, who is also the ideal lover, –this is the core of Heart.

But, this imagined “Perfect Love”, is not of a hopefulness, of a Prince Charming to be found in the future. Instead, it seems of a loss of the opportunity, for that “Perfect Love”, with the slim possibility that the loss might yet be avoided. Heart’s songs are that moment of terror, when you first realize that an important thing (love) may have been lost, forever. Heart’s songs are frozen in that moment.

I love the music, but I grieve the lyrics.
