Updated November 19th 2014: Ann Wilson: “Well, y’know, Ralph called us up, and at first they said, ‘Well, what song do you want to do?’ And we said, ‘Well, ‘Letting Go,’ of course,’ because we’ve done ‘Letting Go’ in our set before, and it’s just a great live rocker. So we did that with him. Then they got, a bunch of time passed and they came back to us and said, ‘Well, y’know, we’re almost to the end and we realized that we need someone to do ‘Band on the Run’…So they asked if we’d do that, so we went in and did ‘Band on the Run.’ It was really fun. I can’t even describe to you for a Beatle fan like me, for a Paul fanatic like myself, how fun it was to go in and do that and to know that nobody expected me to take the song and switch it all around and jazz it up. All they wanted and all I wanted to do was just go in and sing the song like a hootenanny and make it sound great the way it lies, which I think we did.”
