Ann Wilson: “Oh, yeah! They’re gonna get up and play “Crazy on You” with us”. Ann said it was picked because it was their first hit and embodies all the emotions that make up Heart.
Roger Fisher: “By now we’ve all dialed in our sounds and are ready. Nance hits the galloping intro to Crazy On You and boom! There it is. There’s the magic. There’s the chemistry. That mix of people, personalities and talent that only happens once. No other mix will ever be this. This ROCKS! This is HEART! If we had only played the song once, it would have been enough to be ready for the show. That’s how good it is. We go through the whole song about four times, tighten up a few little things, and we’re done. Ready. As Howard and I play the lead, we look at each other with knowing eyes, recognizing that we’ve both remembered subtle details that probably no Heart tribute band incorporate.The humor in the room is easy and infectious. Great people here. We all know that same feeling we knew so well when we toured 34 years ago. We’re gonna rock the house!”

Ann Wilson: “After ten years, we came out with something else. I will be shouting out to Mark Andes and Denny Carmassi that night. They literally should be up there getting inducted with us. We asked the Foundation why they couldn’t be there, and they said that it would only be the original guys. I guess they don’t want a million people up there and with Heart, if we had everyone that we felt was a full Heart member, who wrote, then there would be a lot of people up there with us.”
Nancy Wilson: “Howard is such a consummate musician. He’s an asset to any musical organization because he’s a keyboard player, a string arranger, a good background singer, an acoustic player, a mandolin player and he plays bass and electric guitar. Howard sort of does it all and he’s a producer. […] We first initially hired him as a keyboard player. Rock and roll keyboard players are very few and far between; they still are today. He gave the band freedom because he would be able to fill things in, or he was able to step up to do a big solo part, or he could do a super great rhythm part, or an acoustic part. He expanded us into a more high class band and took us out of bar band status. If I had to describe it in one word, then that word would be versatility.”
Steve Fossen about Ann: “There is almost nobody better. I am fortunate to have worked with her and in my opinion, she is fortunate to have worked with me. This is jumping the gun, but I would love for there to be a reunion where we could go and do some shows and maybe do a DVD and a live album. I think that would be really cool. I am just telling everybody that I am onboard. If it happens, then I am there.”

Roger Fisher on Facebook today: [..] “Fast forward to 2013. There are a LOT of people who would love to see the original lineup of Heart – Mike Derosier, Roger Fisher, Steve Fossen, Howard Leese, and Ann and Nancy Wilson – reform, at least for a song or two. They say, “What’s the matter with you people? Can’t you just put the past behind you? After all, it was 34 YEARS AGO!”
Well, sure, as of this moment, 9:40 AM, April 15, 2013, the plan is to do just that – play one song at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on April 18. Whether or not that will happen remains to be seen. Our first rehearsal is scheduled for tomorrow at 4 PM. Who knows what might happen? It’s not possible for me to black out my memories of the past. I was deeply involved with Nancy for four years and suffered the worst pain of my life when we split, a story I’ll reveal in the dual autobiography Mike and I are writing entitled Bros.
No, I can’t forget the past and neither can they. That’s what makes me a little nervous about our meeting. In my heart of hearts, I only hold caring, positive thoughts and intentions toward them, as I do for all of humanity. I wish we all could just get along and have a beautiful world. But the play of life on earth at this time demands struggle, hostility, redemption, and conquest. Tomorrow’s rehearsal shall be revealing on many levels.
These sisters who have struggled and pioneered their way around the world, not unlike their ancestors, who forged their way across America on a wagon train, are different people now. The same but different, as am I. We’ve both been victorious over personal battles only we can know. Both have grown, matured, and wised up in many ways.”[..]

I haven’t read Kicking And Dreaming. I am not concerned with where you’ve been.My sole interest is in where you are and where you’re going.Believe it or not,”Go On Cry” is most instrumental.There’s much to be said for a melancholy mind.
Congrats and a big shoutout to Ann and Nancy….well deserved and long overdue for such a defining and trend setting band…also congrats to all members of the Heart family..
