Heart guitarist Nancy Wilson says that although one day being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame would be nice — she and sister Ann Wilson aren’t hanging their hopes on finally getting the nod. 2010 marked tenth year running that the band has been ignored by the Rock Hall.
WMMR asked Nancy about how she feels that year-after-year, Heart — who is played on the radio as much, if not more than other inductees — always falls short of the honor: “We’ve had a lot of comments about that, and y’know, I just don’t think it’s important. I mean, it would be lovely to be inducted, I don’t think it’s ultimately important. What speaks is the music, and there’s a lot of . . . I don’t know, I think there’s a clique-ish thing, for whatever reason. It doesn’t really matter, y’know?”
It sure does matter. When will the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame wake up and give them the respect they deserve.!!!
10 years huh!!!! They are sooooo pathetic!!! Heart well Ann and Nancy deserve more than that.
Tried to get some good tics in WA I live there. Dont have the money like most people. Satisfied but would like to meet them. Yes no respect for their talent. Soooo Sad.
